Justin A. Peterson, 14, of Dixon, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dixon City Auditorium in Dixon, Nebraska, with Pastor Willie Bertrand officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church East of Concord, NE. Interment will be in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Justin was born on April 21, 1996 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Richard and Tina (Long) Peterson. He loved fishing, going to the river and hanging out with his friends, video games and working on his ‘72 Ford Highboy with his dad. He also loved helping others, animals, and most of all his family. He had just completed the 8th grade at Allen Consolidated Schools in Allen, NE. He was showing the biggest fish ever caught from the creek when the accident happened. Justin is survived by is parents, Rich and Tina Peterson, a brother Derick and a sister Katrina, maternal grandparents Connie and Ken Rosewall of Dixon, NE, and Robert Long of Oregon, great grandmother Leona Loger of Canton, SD. He was also survived by his aunts, uncles and many cousins. Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alvin Peterson and Betty Warwick.
