H. Gene Nottlemann

Gene Nottlemann, 73, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at his home in Bancroft, Nebraska. A memorial service for Gene will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft; Pastor David List will be officiating. Munderloh Funeral Home of Bancroft is in charge of the arrangements. Gene was born on March 29, 1937 in Pender, Nebraska the son of George and Lulu (Rager) Nottlemann. He attended country school south of Bancroft and graduated from Bancroft High School. After school he married Diane Vogt at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on August 9, 1955. To this union two children were born Michael and Candace. After their marriage, Gene and Diane moved to California, where he worked on the Southern Pacific Railroad. They moved back to Nebraska, where Gene attended Barber College in Sioux City, Iowa and practice in Lincoln and Bancroft. He later worked as an insurance agent in Bancroft. Gene is survived by his wife Diane of Bancroft, a son Michael and his wife Melinda of Bancroft, a daughter Candace Ross of Lincoln and a brother Wayne and wife Charlene Nottlemann of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents.
