Matthew D. Paulson, 32, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. A celebration of Matt’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor Bill Koeber will be officiating. Matt was born in Brush, Colorado on April 14, 1978, the son of Dale and Debbie (Einerwold) Paulson. In 1983, Matt and his family moved to Wisner, Nebraska, where he graduated from high school in 1996. After graduation he worked with his father doing construction, farmed and drove over the road trucking. He had many interests and hobbies including, golf, bowling, softball and baseball, playing pool, fishing, hunting, but his favorite was snowmobiling with his dad and his friends. Matt had a great sense of humor and liked to joke around with his friends. Most of all, he loved his four boys, Preston, Peyton, Parker and Pierce. Matt is survived by his four sons Preston, Peyton, Parker and Pierce Paulson, and their mother Tara all of Wakefield. He is also survived by his parents Dale and Debbie Paulson of Wayne, a sister Karri and husband Mike Cadwallader of Pender, Nebraska, two nieces Ashlyn and Haley Cadwallader, maternal grandfather Ron Einerwold, maternal step-grandfather Kenny Dohren of Wisner, Nebraska, maternal great-grandmother Marie Schlim of Lincoln. He is also survived by Tera’s family, her parents, Joyce and Dennis Barnes of Lincoln, NE, her sister Lisa Mathke and her husband John of Yankton, SD and her sister, Amand Barnes of Lincoln, and her brother, Stacy Barnes and fiancé Kristi Heller of Yankton, SD, her nieces and nephews, Alexa Heine, Megan Barnes, Lacey Barnes, Dillon Mathke, and Tyler Barnes, as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Evelyn Paulson and a maternal grandmother Sharon Hastings.
