Jeffery A. Bokemper, 43, died on October 4, 2010 at his home in San Jacinto, California. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, Nebraska with the Rev. Gretchen Ritola officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Emerson. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson.
Jeff was born on July 28, 1967 in Pender, Nebraska, the son of Anton and Marjorie (Grove) Bokemper. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. He attended Emerson-Hubbard High School, graduating in 1985. He worked in Emerson until moving to California in the early 90’s. He married Shanna Crone in 1992. The couple separated after two years. Jeff’s activities included jet skiing, fishing, and being outdoors. He was and avid Husker fan, and a “Wonderful Uncle”.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Anton “Tony” and Marjorie Bokemper of Emerson, brother Michael Bokemper of Winside, NE, sister Penny (Mark) Clausen of Norfolk, NE, and brother Russell (Carla) Bokemper of Emerson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents Levi and Bess Grove, and Ben and Viney Bokemper.
