Michelle M. Gatzemeyer, 44, of Bancroft, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, October 10 2010 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bancroft, with Father Paul Ortmeier officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 at the church in Bancroft with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery in Bancroft. Michelle was born on February 13, 1966 in Wayne, Nebraska, the daughter of Anton (Tim) and Claudette Jensen. She grew up on the farm east of Hartington, NE. She married Todd Gatzemeyer on March 23, 2002. She and Todd have been running Todd’s Sod business in Northeast Nebraska, Southeast South Dakota, and Woodbury County, Iowa for thirteen years. Michelle had a lot of pride in her kids, Chase, Paige, Vicki and Will. She has spent numerous hours driving to games, practices, musicals and other activities. She loved the time she spent with her family. Michelle is survived by her husband Todd of Bancroft, NE, four children: Chase Goeken of Lincoln, NE; Paige Goeken also of Lincoln; Vicki Gatzemeyer of Bancroft/Rosalie, NE, and William Gatzemeyer of Bancroft/Rosalie, parents Anton (Tim) and Claudette Jensen of Hartington, NE; siblings: Marylou (Bob) Pycha of Scribner, NE; Anton Jr. “Jody” (Rhonda) Jensen of Morse Bluff, NE; Ken (Bonnie) Jensen of Newcastle, NE; Tiffani (Lee) Stegemann of Wayne, NE, step sons: Colbey Gatzemeyer of Omaha, NE and Colter Gatzemeyer of Sioux City, Iowa. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother Lucile Jensen of Hartington, Nebraska. Michelle was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Mary Hochstein and paternal grandfather Anton (Tony) Jensen, and father and mother-in-laws William and Kay Gatzemeyer.
