Paul Wollmer Scott

Paul Wollmer Scott, 70, of San Bernardino, CA, formerly of Pender, NE, died on October 7, 2010, at his home after a short illness of Cancer. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender, Nebraska, with the Rev. Glenn Schacht officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be on Monday, November 8, in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Paul was born on June 10, 1940 to Emma and Paul Scott in California. He attended school in California until the seventh grade when he came to Pender to live with Martha “Heyne” McConnaha due to the death of his parents. He was baptized in Victorville, California, and confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender. He graduated form Pender High School in 1958, and attended Dana College before returning to California. Paul married Jane Smitheran on September 22, 1994 and lived in Paso Robles and San Bernardino California until his death. Paul is survived by his wife, Jane, daughter Eliese and step children Steve and Sherrie Smitheran, one brother, Leighton Henning of Barstow, California, and cousins Carolyn and husband Ted Von Seggern of Pender, NE., Beverly and husband Dr. Gayle Peterson of Oakland, NE and Sheila Larson of Tulsa, OK, as well as other cousins from Pender and Colorado. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and Martha “Heyne” McConnaha.
