John M. Meierdierks

John M. Meierdierks, 89, of Pender, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Pender Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Glenn Schacht officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh Funeral Home of Pender. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. John was born on October 22, 1921, in Pender, Nebraska, the son of Herman and Gesina (Meyer) Meierdierks. He married Norma Schincke on June 26, 1948 in Elk Point, South Dakota. John was a World War II Veteran serving in Europe. He returned to Pender where he was one of the owner/operator’s of Meierdierk’s Hardware . He retired in 2000. John is survived by his wife Norma, son Byron, son Bruce and his wife Kay, and daughter Karen Tietz and her husband Randy all of Pender, NE. He is also survived by one grandchild and two great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
