Bernice F. Meyer, 78, of Pender, Nebraska went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 19, 2010 at her home in Pender. The funeral for Bernice will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Pender; Pastor Dan Springer will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Monday Evening.
Bernice was born on December 27, 1931, in Bancroft, Nebraska the daughter of George and Esther (Larson) Munderloh. When her mother died at an early age, she and her oldest sister, Rosella Anderson raised their siblings: Myron Munderloh, Betty Russman, Jeanette Fredrickson and Lois Macky.
Bernice was married to Wayne Meyer on July 9, 1950 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Together they were blessed with three children Patricia and husband Dana Arndt of Lincoln, NE, Steven and wife Mary Meyer of Pender, NE and Michael and wife JoAnn of Lincoln, NE, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Bernice joyfully served God and others at the Pender Covenant Church. Her family will remember her for her colorful quilts, cinnamon rolls and canned peaches and pickles.
The family wishes memorials to go to the Covenant Cedars Bible Camp in Hordeville, Nebraska.
