Olga E. Dolezal

Olga E. Dolezal, 90, of Emerson, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Heritage of Emerson Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 1:00 p.m. at John Huss Presbyterian Church in Thurston, Nebraska, with the Rev. Gretchen Ritola officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Emerson, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Olga was born on December 10, 1919 in Thurston, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Frances (Doupnik) Bodlak. She attended school through the 8th grade. She married Joseph Dolezal on September 15, 1941. The couple farmed west of Thurston, moving to a farm north of Emerson in 1951. They retired from the farm in 1982 moving into Emerson. Joseph died on October 25, 2005. She had been living in the Heritage of Emerson Care center for the last several years. Olga is survived by her son, Gary and his wife Joyce of Pender, Daughter Karen Habrock and her husband Dean of St. Joseph MO, daughter Connie Hassler and her husband Mick of Emerson, NE, nine grandchildren: Dana Larsen and her husband Bruce of Hoover, AL, Tara Peiffer and her husband Scott of Pender, NE, Brian Habrock and his wife Paula of St. Joseph, MO, Travis Habrock and his wife Wendy of St. Joseph, MO, Tanya Raedeke and her husband Robert of Belton, MO, Renee Zweerink and her husband Phil of St. Joseph, MO, Joe Hassler of Fort Collins, CO, Heidi Hassler and special friend Dan DeCino of Greeley, CO, and Mike Hassler and his wife Tara of Wayne, NE. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, brothers George and Jerry Bodlak, and a sister, Helen Hanzel of Dallas, OR. Olga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph and eight brothers and sisters.
