Bernice K. Campbell

Bernice K. Campbell, 92, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Lyons, NE died on Thursday, May 24, 2018.  Private family funeral services will be held.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery of Walthill, NE.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Country House Residence for Memory Care at 5030 S. 155th St., Omaha, NE 68137.  Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Bernice was born in Walthill, NE on February 26, 1926, the daughter of Erastus and Alvina (Sherling) Parks.  She attended school in Walthill, NE and was united in marriage to Lowell C. Campbell.  She spent a long and happy life from being a farmer’s wife to helping with Campbell Manufacturing Company, and a beauty shop.  Bernice moved to the Senior Apartments in Lyons, NE on August 1, 1997. She then moved to Omaha in January of 2014. Bernice enjoyed digging and collecting rocks/gems and making jewelry.  She had a small museum in Walthill that included a sod house.  Her main priority was her family, and she enjoyed her grandchildren above everything else.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Katherine (Dave) Steinkraus of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Jen Suey, Heather Campbell, Britt (Shari) Campbell and Megan Zimmerman.  She is also survived by her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell Campbell, son Edward Campbell, and two brothers Paul and Harold Parks.
