Billy D. Clements

Billy Dean Clements, 90, of Emerson, NE, died on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Heritage of Emerson Nursing Home in Emerson, NE.  Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson.  Masonic services will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the memorial service all at St. Luke Lutheran Church.  Military honors will be conducted at the church following the memorial service.  Memorials are suggested to the family and will be used for the Emerson American Legion #60 and Masonic Lodge Magnolia 220.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Emerson.

Bill was born on September 25, 1931 in Wisner, NE, the son of John and Blanche (Wallace) Clements.  He graduated from Emerson High School in 1948.  On February 8, 1953, he was united in marriage to Barbara Paulsen.  Three days later he was inducted into the United States Army, where he served in the Korean War.  After returning home, Bill and Barb made their home in Emerson where he owned the Gambles store, farmed and raised cattle, sold Dekalb Seed and custom farmed, and was a rural mail carrier.  He was a 65-year member of Masonic Lodge Magnolia 220, and 63-year member of the Emerson American Legion Post #60.  He enjoyed decorating their home at Christmas and spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife Barbara of Emerson, NE; son, Eric “RC” (Val) Clements of Emerson, NE; daughter, Pamela (Ray) Potter of Thurston, NE; three grandchildren, Thomas (Haley) Clements and their children, Kenley, Sam and Anna of Elkhorn, NE, Tyler (Ashlee) Clements and their son Cameron of Omaha, NE, Rebekah Potter and her son Carter of Pender, NE; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
