Connie Manning, 58, of Emerson, NE, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home in Emerson. The funeral service for Connie will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson; Pastor Charlotte Eversoll will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date. Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Emerson is assisting the family with the services. Connie was born on April 22, 1963 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Clifford and Lois Ann (Benton) Fink. As a child the family moved to Emerson. On June 3, 1979, Connie was confirmed at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson. Following her graduation from Emerson – Hubbard High School in 1981, she worked at several places including; IBP, Waldbaums, drove school bus for the Emerson – Hubbard Schools, worked at the Iron Horse Casino and Tri County Bar. For the past several years, Connie managed the Pony gas station in Emerson. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, reading and her dogs. Connie is survived by her children; Dale (Laura) Novak of Emerson, NE, David Schincke of Emerson, NE, Jason (Lindsey) Goldsmith of Sioux City, IA, Samantha Lewis of Beemer, NE, Britney Lewis of Norfolk, NE, Brittany Free of Emerson, NE; eleven grandchildren; special friend, James “Jim” Lewis of Emerson, NE; sister, Karen (Les) Andrews of Rowan, IA; brother, Terry (Pam) Fink of Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, and her Pony Express Family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Lois Ann Fink.
