Dale Fuchser

Dale Henry Fuchser, 89, of Pender, NE, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender, NE.  Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill; with Pastor Brion Tolzman officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.  Burial will follow a luncheon after the Funeral Service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Dale was born on March 7, 1930 in Walthill, NE, the son of Fred and Flora (Kunzie) Fuchser.  He attended Plainview Country School and later attended School in Walthill.  Dale grew up East of Walthill then moved to a farm between Walthill and Pender when he was 14.   He married Marilyn Lindgren on October 15, 1950.  To this union four children were born, Carla, David, Kristin, and John. 

Dale was an honest and hardworking man, always going the extra mile to provide for his family.  He learned to farm from his father where the two farmed around Walthill and Pender their entire life.  He was a good neighbor to many; he would often stop by just to visit or ask if they needed a helping hand.  Although he went out of his way for others he was known as a quiet man.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards and games, and even helping other farmers farm.  Dale was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill as well as a member of the “West Siders”.  After farming he retired and moved to Pender. 

Dale is proceeded in death by his parents; infant brother, Harold; sister-in-law, Marcella Fuchser; and two infant granddaughters.

Dale is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fuchser of Pender, NE; sons, David (Margaret) of O’Neill, John (Marna) of Malcolm; daughters, Kristin (Hubert) Brunk of Lincoln, Carla (Peter) Magarey of Loxton, South Australia; a brother, Wilbur of Walthill; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
