Dale N. Swanson, 75, of Winnebago, Nebraska passed away on November 11, 2020 at his home in Winnebago, Nebraska. A private family graveside service will be held in Omaha Valley Cemetery in Homer, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, Nebraska. Dale was born on January 29, 1945 to Carl O. and Lulua F. (Jasa) Swanson in Homer, Nebraska. He attended country school and graduated high school in 1963 from Winnebago High School. Dale was a lifelong farmer and would do anything to help his family. He enjoyed traveling throughout the US to visit his family and loved to share stories about his family’s history. Many people thought of Dale as a man of few words, but he was very outspoken when it came to history and genealogy. Dale is survived by his sister, Carol (Clayton) Lofgren of West Point, NE; sister-in-law, Janis Swanson of Pender, NE; cousins, Jean (Paul) Bodlak of Emerson, NE, John B. Sanders of Council Bluffs, IA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Swanson; cousin-in-law, Penny Sanders.
