Dale B. Warren

Dale B. Warren, 84, of Emerson, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 21, 2017. Memorial services will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson; Pastor Gretchen Ritola will be officiating. The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. and run until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. Dale was born February 4, 1933 to Lee and LaMoyle (Beermann) Warren in Emerson. He attended school in Emerson and graduated from Emerson High School in 1951. Dale served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he attended college for two and half years at the University of Nebraska. Dale was united in marriage to Betty Crosley on October 26, 1957 in Emerson; to this union the couple had three children. Dale managed the grain elevator with his dad for several years while farming for over 20 years. He also helped his folks at the Tiger Bowl Bowling Alley in Tekamah, NE. Due to his health issues he resided at his daughter and son-in-law’s residence until his passing. Dale was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, attending BBQ’s, and spending time with his friends and family. Dale especially loved old westerns and John Wayne movies. Dale is survived by his wife, Betty Warren of Emerson, NE; children, Greg (Tammi) Warren of Dakota City, NE, Cindy (Chet) Mackling of Winnebago, NE, Laurie (Jerry) Stamp of Emerson, NE; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and LaMoyle Warren; brother, Fay Warren; sister, JoAnne Zeigler; Infant sister, Wendy H. Warren, and granddaughter, Karissa Warren.
