Dallas L. Roberts

Dallas L. Roberts, 83, of Wakefield, NE, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, Nebraska.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home at 803 Oak St. in Wakefield, Nebraska.  Burial will be at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. 

Dallas was born on August 5, 1941, in Wakefield, NE, the son of Richard and Ruth (Johnston) Roberts.  Following his graduation from Allen High School, in 1959, he started working for Milton G. Waldbaum in Wakefield.  On October 6, 1963, Dallas was united in marriage to Janice Libengood from Winside, NE. Together they had three sons, Jerry, Kirt, and Douglas, and a daughter Teresa.  They were married for 60 years. Dallas was a fifty-year volunteer for the Wakefield Fire and Rescue Department.  He enjoyed woodworking, walking, traveling, watching birds, and loved seeing his grandkids. He could often be seen having coffee with his friends and sitting at the ball fields watching games.  Most of all, Dallas, enjoyed the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Janice of Wakefield, NE; sons, Jerry (Trudy) Roberts of Redmond, OR, Kirt Roberts of Hartington, NE, Doug (Jill) Roberts of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Teresa Isom of Wakefield, NE; six grandchildren, Micah Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Tamra Isom, Tanisha Isom, Olivia Roberts, and Lilly Roberts.  He is also survived by a brother, Courtland (Darlene) Roberts of Allen, NE; and a sister, Sherrill Halsey of Parker, AZ.
