Daniel D. Combs

Daniel D. Combs, 67, of Emerson, NE died on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.  Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson, NE; Father Gerald Leise officiating.  Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Emerson Daniel was born November 9, 1949 in Allen, NE to Carol and Helen (Messerschmidt) Combs. He was active in sports growing up and graduated from Emerson High School in 1968. Daniel was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a QA inspector. He enjoyed collecting anything about wolves and model trains. Daniel was a good, funny man who would help anyone with anything. He loved his family, friends, and dog, Kota. He will be greatly missed. Daniel is survived by his son, Brian Combs (Giselle Leyte-Vidal) of Emerson, NE; sister, Esther; brother, Dave, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
