Denise G. Glissman

Denise G. Glissman, 64, of Lincoln, NE, died at her home in Lincoln on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft, NE; Pastor Nathan Henschen will be officiating.  The visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender.  Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery. 

Denise was born in Pender, NE on May 23, 1958, the daughter of J. Stanley and Eunice (Persson) Glissman.  Denise attended grade school at District #53 from 1964 through 1972 where she made many lifelong friends that were very special to her.  She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on March 26, 1972. Following her graduation from Pender High School in 1976, Denise attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she was a member of Phi Mu Women’s Fraternity.  She volunteered with the Red Cross on the stadium response team and other special events.  Denise earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration, and went on to work at Lutheran Hospitals and Homes in Fargo, ND, where she traveled and opened many new hospitals across the country.  Denise returned to Lincoln for a few years to work for 96 KYXZ FM where she introduced her Godson Garth, to country music and broadcasting.  After that she relocated to Huntington Beach, CA, where she worked at Volt Employment Services and later as the Executive Assistant to the President of Yamaha, USA.  In 2013, Denise moved back to Lincoln, where she was employed in hotel management. 

Denise is survived by her mother Eunice Glissman of Pender, NE; brothers, Blayne Glissman of Lincoln, NE, and Brett Glissman of Anaheim, CA; nephews, Garth (Katie) Glissman, and their daughter Grace, of Omaha, NE, and Taylor Glissman of Lincoln, NE.

She was preceded in death by her father Stan, and her grandparents.
