Dennis Richard Munderloh 76, of Pender, NE, died on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. The burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Dennie was born on September 7, 1944, in Pender, NE, the only child of Richard and Ada (Essman) Munderloh. He grew up in Thurston, NE, where he graduated from high school in 1962. Following high school, Dennie attended Kemper Military School in Boonville, MO, where he played basketball. He then transferred to the University of Minnesota, where he received his degree in Mortuary Science. On November 27, 1965, he married Georgia Bryant in Emmetsburg, IA. To this marriage two children were born, Kristine and Stephen. The couple moved to Pender the following year and Dennie worked for McConnaha-Kempf Funeral Home. He later purchased the funeral homes in Pender, Emerson, Bancroft and a few years later in Walthill. He served as the President of the Nebraska Funeral Directors Association from 1997 to 1998. In 2012, Dennie retired. Dennie loved to travel, spending his winters in Arizona, fishing, hunting, and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Georgia of Pender, NE; daughter, Kristine (Scott) Levine of Greensboro, NC; son, Stephen (Amy) Munderloh of Wakefield, NE; grandchildren, Benjamin (Esther) Levine, Nathan Levine, Jackson Levine, Anthony Munderloh, Lauren Munderloh; and great grandson, William Levine.
Dennie was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ada Munderloh.
