Diane R. (DeBoer) Jasa, 60, of Lyons, Nebrasaka passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 16, 2020 at her home in Lyons. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at Walthill Public School in Walthill; with Pastor Toni Hightree Nolze officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Pender. The graveside service will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Lincoln, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.
Diane was born on April 20, 1959 to Ervin and Marie (Eldred) DeBoer in Lincoln, NE. she attended various schools until finishing in Hamburg, IA, in 1978. Diane married Dave Owen and became parents of 3 boys, Stephen, Justin and Michael. Diane moved to Walthill in 1986 and attended WIT College. She received her diploma in 1987 as a Legal Secretary and worked with a law firm for a few years. Diane then started working at M.G. Walbaums in Wakefield where she met Jerome Jasa. The couple were united in marriage on June 10, 1989. In 1993, Diane began her 27-year career at Walthill Public School. She started working in the kitchen and as a part-time Teachers Aid, working her way to her current position as the Elementary Secretary.
Diane is survived by her mother, Marie DeBoer of Walthill; sons, Stephen (Brittnie) Owen of Bancroft, Justin (Carley) Owen of Walthill, Michael (Teresa) Owen of Lyons; brothers, Brian DeBoer of Walthill, Dwight DeBoer of Albion, Gerry (Kathy) DeBoer of Lee Summit, MO; several grandchildren; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many special friends.
Diane is preceded in death by her father, Ervin DeBoer; husband, Jerome Jasa; many other relatives and friends.
