Dorothy A Hinrich

Dorothy A. (Siebrandt) Hinrich, 92, of Pender, NE died on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Pender, with Pastor Robert Schilling officiating.  The visitation will be on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Dorothy Siebrandt was born on January 7, 1928 in rural Pender to William and Adaline (Beineke) Siebrandt. She attended country school through the 8^th grade.  On August 22, 1954 Dorothy married Robert Hinrich in Pender. 

Dorothy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher.  She was very faithful and believed in the power of praying.  Dorothy was very meticulous and very well organized.  She enjoyed bowling league and participated in the Monday afternoon “Washday League”.  She worked as a cook at the school for over 10 years.  Dorothy was excited to earn her GED in the early 1990’s.  She enjoyed visiting with her sisters and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Rick) Tiedtke of Stanton, NE; daughter-in-law, Carol Hinrich of Lexington, NE; grandchildren, Ryan Hinrich of Lexington, NE, Anthony (Megan) Tiedtke of Grand Prairie, TX, Travis (Shannan) Tiedtke of Norfolk, NE, Bethany (John) Gutschow of Whidbey Island, WA, Michelle Tiedtke of Lincoln, NE; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Lois Schmidt of Wisner, NE; brother, Glen (Margaret) Siebrandt of Pender, NE; sisters-in-law, Pearl Hinrich of Pender, NE, Elsie Carmen Jepsen of Emerson, NE; brother-in-law, Alvin Sorensen of Bancroft, NE. 

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Hinrich; son, Randy Hinrich; infant grandson, Brett Hinrich, sister, Laura Sorensen; brother, Erwin (Delores) Siebrandt; brother-in-law, Ralph Schmidt; and her uncle, Hank.
