Edna Bolln

Edna Ruth (Billings) Bolln, 84, of Council Bluffs, IA passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Risen Sun Christian Village in Council Bluffs, IA.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.  The memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.  

Edna was born on May 24, 1935 in Bayville, Virginia to Lester and Bessie Billings. She married Walter Bolln on May 2, 1975 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender.

Edna bartended at Jim Frank’s Bar and Marv’s Bar on Main Street before taking a custodian position at the Pender Hospital.

Edna is survived by her sons, Donald Surratt, Richard Rumsey; daughters, Laura Rumsey, Elizabeth (Mike) Stark; sisters, Gladys Billings, Ellamae Dean, Mildred Osborn; brothers, Tom Billings, Boss Billings, Wayne Billings, Gene Billings; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Parris, Maranda Baker, Mikayla Mahler; 4 great grandchildren, Gaige Mahler, Adelaide Mahler, Evangeline Mahler, Brixtin Baker.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Walter Bolln.
