Evelyn M. Lienemann

Evelyn Lienemann, 92, of Wakefield, died on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, NE. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements. Evelyn was born on June 9, 1928 the daughter of Emil and Agnes Haas in Liberty, NE. She graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, NE. In 1948 she married Bernhard Lienemann of Wymore, NE. They moved their family to Wakefield in 1957, where Evelyn resided until her death. Evelyn especially loved playing cards at the Emerson and Wakefield Senior Centers. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wakefield, belonging to the LLL, the quilting group, AAL and was a reader during services. Evelyn is survived by her three children, Sondra Mattes, Vicki Morkert, Curt Lienemann and their families, as well as her sister, Jeanette Thomsen. She had seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
