Everett L. Moore, 77, of Winnebago, Nebraska died at his home near Winnebago on Saturday, June 1, 2024.  The visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh -Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE. The funeral will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill, NE.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill.  A lunch will follow the burial at the Walthill Fire Hall. Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Pender is in charge of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Everett was born on April 2, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Miriam (Smith) Moore.  After graduating from Winnebago High School in 1965, Everett earned a Bachelor of Science from the University Of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he was a member of the Farm House Fraternity.  On December 18, 1976, Everett was united in marriage to Sandra Appleton.  He worked for many years in Walthill, NE, at the Farm Service Agency as the Executive Director of the USDA office.  Following his retirement he enjoyed his time with his family and working around the farm.   

Everett enjoyed boating, fishing, skiing, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and many other sporting events.  For many years he coached baseball in Pender, served on various boards, and was a longtime elder for Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill.

He is survived by his wife Sandy of Winnebago, NE; daughters, Shellie (Troy) Fischer of Winnie, TX, Melanie Berry of Omaha, NE; son, Matthew Moore (Brooke Wenke) of Dakota City, NE; grandchildren, Brodie (Bre) Fischer, Brandi Fischer, Morrigan Berry, Myles Berry, Olivia Ruaikot, Milani Moore; great-grandson,  Easton Fischer; sisters, Shirley (Glenn) Kaufman of Kenneth City, FL, Sharon (Roger) Boeckenhauer of Concord, NE; several nieces and nephews and friends.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Miriam, and a daughter, Mindy Moore.
