Jacquelyn Springer, 70, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Elmwood Care Center in Onawa. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Decatur United Methodist Church in Decatur, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home.

Jacquelyn was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 24, 1954, to Cloyd and Arla (Schoenleber) Boydston. The family moved to Scottsbluff, NE in 1955, Weeping Water, NE in 1956, where Jacque spent her childhood years, and later moved to Walthill in 1969, where she graduated from Walthill High School in 1972. Jacque then attended Lincoln School of Commerce for two years, earning an Associate's Degree. On June 23, 1973, Jacque married Timothy Springer. Jacque worked at the University of Nebraska Animal Science Department in Lincoln for ten years. She moved to Decatur, NE in 2015 and played piano for many years at the United Methodist Church in Decatur. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, planting flowers, playing piano, and watching birds and other wildlife. She loved her pets and cared for many cats and several dogs throughout her life.

Jacque is survived by husband, Timothy Springer of Onawa, IA; stepson, Charles J. Springer, Sr.; mother Arla Boydston of Wahoo, NE; sister, Cheryl (John) Hansen of Omaha, NE; brother, Rick (Leslie) Boydston of Prosser, WA; Three grandchildren, Charles Springer, Jr., Cota J. Springer, Christina Springer; and two great-grandchildren, Charles J. Springer, III, Paige Bear; niece Christine Kleiner (Lewis), Omaha, NE, nephews, Nathan Hansen (Amanda), Omaha, NE, Nick Boydston (Whitney), Bothell, WA, and Andy Boydston, Bellevue, WA.

Jacque was preceded in death by her father, Cloyd; brother, Doug; and infant daughter, Elizabeth Springer.
