James Patrick Ball

James Patrick Ball, 57, of Walthill, NE died on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at his home in Walthill, NE.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community of Christ Church in Walthill, NE; Pastor Nola Briggs is officiating.  The visitation will be held on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be at a later date.  Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home of Pender is in charge of the arrangements. James was born on June 10, 1960 in Las Vegas, NV, the son of Ted and Maxine (James) Ball.  He was united in marriage to Brenda Goulette on July 18, 1998 and the couple made their home in Walthill, NE.  He was a member of the Community of Christ Church. James enjoyed driving truck, wood working, cribbage, fishing and camping.  He also loved listening to Elvis, watching the Green Bay Packers, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.  James was a happy-go-lucky person who made friends easily. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Walthill, NE; several grandchildren, including the ones they raised, Devin, Dominic, Destiny and Amelia Parker; sons, Anthony (Mya) Lias of Sioux City, IA and Adam Lias of Le Mars, IA; step daughters, Melissa Parker and Cori Parker of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters, Kay Roybal of Las Vegas, NV and Patty (Randy) Stanton of North Sioux City, SD; brothers, Doug (Chris) Ball of Riverside, CA, Dennis Ball and Tim Ball of Sioux City, IA. James was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Ball; and sister, Gay Orr.
