Janice L. Lueth

Janice Lueth, 83, of Emerson, Nebraska died on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her daughters’ house in Emerson. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all services to the public have cancelled. Janice was born on June 13, 1937 in Wakefield, NE, the daughter of Russell and Merle (Mapes) Park. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. Janice attended country school north of Wakefield at the Rose Hill School near Allen, NE. in 1955, she graduated from Wakefield High School. On February 4, 1956, Janice was united in marriage to Alvin Lueth at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. The couple farmed in the Allen and Emerson area. She helped Alvin with the farm and his wood working projects. Alvin died on September 30, 1997. Janice continued to live on the family farm where she enjoyed needle work and bowling. Janice is survived by her sons, Tim (Geraldine) Lueth of Emerson, NE, Mark Lueth of Emerson, NE; daughters, Linda (Mark) Graf of Emerson, NE, Karen (Mark) Victor of Wakefield, NE, Denise (Mark) Mueller of Emerson, NE; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joann (Hans, Jr.) Nelsen of Emerson, NE, Carol (Dave) Carr of Emerson, NE and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; granddaughter, Tabitha Mueller and a brother David Park.
