Janice Rae Weborg

Janice Rae (Anderson) Weborg, 91, of Pender, NE passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender, NE.  The visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Pender, in Pender, NE.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Pender, with Pastor Dan Springer officiating.  Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Pender, NE.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Janice was born August 22, 1929 in Rosalie, NE to Andrew and Thelma (Copple) Anderson.  She attended and graduated from Bancroft High School.  She continued her education by attending Wayne State College and received her Teachers Certificate.  Janice married Curtis Weborg at the Evangelical Covenant Church on June 19, 1949.  To this union the couple had three sons, Kent, Craig, and Brian.  Janice taught school for several years before retiring to help raise her family.

Janice enjoyed traveling, playing cards, ballroom dancing, following her grandchildren’s sports and events.  She loved taking care of her family and was a wonderful cook.  Janice was known for her endless supply of scotcheroos.  She was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and the Covenant Women Group. 

Jancie is survived by her sons, Kent (Colleen) Weborg, Craig (Darlene) Weborg, Brian (Renee) Weborg; sister, Marilyn Rink; sister-in-law, Leora Weborg; grandchildren, Tyler (Becca) Weborg, Tony (Meghan) Weborg, Adam (CharLee) Weborg, Alex (Jessica) Weborg, Austin (Makenna) Weborg, Emily (Kelly) Hohn, Evan (Jessica) Weborg, Easton Weborg (fiancé Tori Wagner); 21 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis (December 2012); brother, Lee Anderson; in-laws, George and Tyra Weborg; sister-in-law, Evonne Anderson; brothers-in-law, Harold Rink, Roy Weborg, Kenneth Weborg.
