Jeannine Wriedt "Beaver", 73, of Allen, NE, died on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at a Lincoln hospital. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.
Jeannine was born on December 19, 1950, in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Gene and Emma (Karr) Davis. She attended school at Emerson-Hubbard High School and was united in marriage to John Wriedt on October 17, 1969. To this union, four children were born, Gene, John, Emmalee, and Martin. For a time, Jeannine worked at Michael’s Food in Wakefield, but spent most of her life, raising her kids and their friends and taking care of the farm. Her passion was the farm. She enjoyed raising horses, rabbits, and dogs. You could always count on a good conversation and a cup of coffee. Most of all she loved the time spent with her family, and her special Yorkie, Lumpkin.
She is survived by her husband John of Allen, NE; sons, Gene (Sheree) Wriedt, John (Candace) Wriedt, Martin Wriedt; daughter, Emmalee (Isaias) Ramirez; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Joseph “Yo-Yo” Ramirez; sisters, Karen Merchant, Sharon Westerhold, Dixie Cadwallader, and Catherine Crawford.
