Joseph M. Ramirez

Joseph Miguel “Yo-Yo” Ramirez, 24 of Allen, NE, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE.  A Celebration into Heaven will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, starting at 1:00 p.m. at 223 Main Street, Wakefield, NE 68784.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE. 

Joe was born on August 8, 1999, in Pender, NE to Isaias and Emmalee (Wriedt) Ramirez.  He attended and graduated from Wakefield High School in 2017.  Joe continued his education by attending WIT in Sioux City, IA, and studied computer development. Joe was a video game enthusiast.  He enjoyed playing video games with his brother and many friends.  Joe was proud of his Go Mango Dodge Challenger and had a love for cars, mostly Mopars. He would always say Mopar or no car. When the weather warmed up outside, he enjoyed swinging on the hammock and being outdoors. Joe had a great love for his pet animals, especially his pet parakeets.  He had a giving personality and would do just about anything to help others out. He had a great love for his grand parents and was always willing to help them out. Joe would always respond to everyone with his famous words of “fair enough”. Joe was an avid blood donor and always wanted to give more.  Now that he has passed on, his giving personality will continue to live on as Joe was also an organ donor.   

Joe is survived by his parents, Isaias and Emmalee Ramirez; brother, Isaias (Brenda) Ramirez; sisters, Laura Ramirez (and friend David Cervantes), Mariana Ramirez; niece and nephews, Gaby Ramirez, Gio Ramirez, Isai Ramirez, Marianito Ramirez; grandparents, John and Jeannine Wriedt, Santiago and Guadalupe Ramirez; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  

Joe is preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
