Kenneth G. Sachs, 88, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Colonial Haven in Beemer, NE. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bancroft, NE. The visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft. Burial with military honors will be at the Bancroft City Cemetery in Bancroft. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.

Kenneth was born on October 3, 1932, to Gus J. and Doris (Kuhl) Sachs in Omaha, NE. He received a diploma from North High School in Omaha. After his schooling, he went to work with his father at Fruehauf Trailers. When he turned 18, Kenneth enlisted into the US Navy. Upon his return from serving his country, he purchased a service station in north Omaha and married Nancy Cook. Together the couple had five children: Thomas, Vicky Lynn, Kim, Victor, and Scott.
Kenneth moved to Bancroft, NE, and married Loraine (Siebrandt) on September 25, 1964. Together the couple had two children: John and Linda. Kenneth founded the LL Sachs Welding Service and managed the business until he sold it to Ivan Heise. He drove a maintainer for the county for several years then worked at Co-op.
Kenneth enjoyed the great outdoors, camping and boating. His favorite hobby was fishing, he loved taking his friends and family every chance he had. Kenneth collected coins and was fascinated with cars. He also served on the Bancroft Village Board.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Loraine; sons, Thomas (Christine) Sachs, Victor Sachs, Scott (Joan’ae) Sachs, John (Nicole) Sachs; daughters, Kim Sachs, Linda Daniel; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Vicky Lynn; infant granddaughter Amanda; an infant brother and an infant sister.
