Kevin J. White

Kevin J. White, 51, of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of Bancroft, Nebraska, passed away on July 10, 2024, at his home in South Bend.  A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the Rosalie Community Center.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.

Kevin Jay White was born to Keith & Suzanne (Flaugh) on May 2nd, 1973 in Pender, Ne. Kevin was raised in the Rosalie, NE area on a farm. He enjoyed farming and working on cars with his stepdad, Bill Gatzemeyer. Kevin graduated high school from Bancroft-Rosalie in May of 1991.

He married Stacy Lund on July 24, 1993, and to this union, three children were born, Adrienne Elizabeth, Kaleb Jay, and Kylie Jean. The couple later divorced. On December 27th, 2003 he married Britni Comb and to this union, they had their only child, a son, Karsen Thomas. The couple later divorced. In the early 2000s, Kevin found his calling as a Surgical Technician. He worked at both St. Luke’s Hospital and MercyOne in Sioux City, IA. In late 2007, Kevin decided to become a traveling Surgical Technician. Through his many contracts, he was able to live in Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Alaska. Even though he hated the cold, Alaska was his favorite. Kevin enjoyed riding one of three Harley-Davidson motorcycles he owned. He even drove one of his bikes to Alaska from Nebraska in May of 2023. Kevin was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan but most of all loved being a Grandpa to five grandbabies. Although he didn’t know the gender of grandbaby #5, he truly felt it would be a boy and he was right!

Those left to cherish his memory are children, Adrienne & Brett Christensen of Wallace, NE, and their children, Nicole, Austin, and Carter; Kaleb White and Jacy Millsap of Seneca, NE; and Kylie & Kurtis Dawson of Newman Grove, NE, and their two boys, Kasen and Krew; Karsen of Omaha, NE; his mother, Suzanne Miller of Wayne, NE; Stepmother Monica “Rusty” White of Louisiana; sisters, Stacy Connealy of Oakland, NE; Michelle & Eric Juhl of Iowa; Tanya & Scott Brogren of Wayne, NE; step-siblings, Todd Gatzemeyer of Rosalie, NE; Troy Gatzemeyer of Rosalie, NE; Shelly & Gavin Gralheer of Pender, NE; Rhonda Throener of Oakland, NE; Amy & Matthew Dickson of Louisiana and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Keith J White; stepdads, William Gatzemeyer & Donald Miller; grandparents, Claud and Betty White; Marvin and Jean Flaugh; Elizabeth Twyford; uncle, Kerry White; stepbrothers, Shane Erickson and Will Erickson; sister-in-law, Michelle Gatzemeyer; and a nephew, Colby Gatzemeyer.
