Leo Peters

Leo “Luckey” W. Peters, 60, of Wakefield, NE, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at his home in Wakefield.  The visitation will be held at Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE, on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield; Pastor Jill Craig will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. 

Leo was born on May 10, 1963, in Wakefield, NE, the son of Donald and Marion (Kastrup) Peters.  He attended school in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1982.  Leo worked for over thirty years at Siouxland Concrete in South Sioux City, NE.  He was currently employed with GCC Alliance Concrete in Sergeant Bluff, IA.  He enjoyed living on the farm where he could tinker, traveling, and living his bachelor life.  Leo had a love for Hawaiian shirts, trains, spending time at auctions, and time with his many friends and family.   

He is survived by his daughter, Karri, and her husband Abraham of Papillion, NE; grandchildren, Dominic and Abrianna; sisters, Dawn (Robert) Lubberstedt of Wakefield, NE, Amy (Dan) Fiedler of Bloomfield, NE; brother, Tony Peters of Queen Creek, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
