Leslie A Suhr

Leslie Ann Suhr, 75, of Pender, NE, died on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her home near Pender surrounded by her family.  The funeral service will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender.  The visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery near Pender.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Leslie was born on April 21, 1945 in Pender, NE, the daughter of Lester and Lois (Altemester) Schnier.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.  In 1963, Leslie graduated from Pender High School.  She was united in marriage to Delwin Suhr at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on March 15, 1964. To this union the couple had a son Darin, and two daughters, Leannette and LeEtta.  The couple farmed in the Pender area all their married lives.  

Leslie was a member of the Birthday Club and the Better Homes Club.  She enjoyed playing cards or any game, motorcycle riding, bowling, camping, watching movies and sports.  Most of all she enjoyed the time with family and playing with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.  She loved going on adventures, including those close to home and far away.  She enjoyed going to Yuma and Mesa, AZ.

She is survived by her husband, Delwin; son Darin Suhr (fiancé Donna Yager) of Madison,SD, Leannette (Don) Heyen of Omaha, NE, LeEtta Suhr (Gretchen Kruse) of Raymond, NE;grandchildren, LaShayna Suhr (fiancé Clinton Dunn) and their children, Tayven, Mia, Kinlee, Clayton and Seirra of Homer, NE, Dalton and Dylan Suhr of Canton, SD, Adam Heyen (fiancé Emily Brogna) of Omaha, NE; and a brother, Lanny (Connie) Schnier of Bancroft, NE.

Leslie was preceded in death by her grandson, Evan Heyen and parents Lester and Lois Schnier.
