Loretta J. Pallas

Loretta J. Pallas, 79, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Seward, Nebraska.  Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church of Pender; Pastor Dan Springer will be officiating.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the United Church of Pender from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft, Nebraska.  Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Pender is in charge of the services. 

Loretta was born on July 27, 1940 in Bancroft, NE, the daughter of Wendell and Opal (Rawlings) Neel.  She grew up in Bancroft and graduated from Bancroft High School in 1958.  Loretta attended Wayne State College majoring in accounting.  On February 14, 1960, Loretta was united in marriage to Jerry Pallas, Jr.  The had two sons, Thomas J. and Ronald D.

Loretta was employed as a secretary for over 25 years with the Pender Public Schools and also worked as an office manager for U.S. Green Fiber in Norfolk, NE.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, attending Nebraska volleyball matches, going on walks, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Loretta is survived by her son, Thomas J. (Lynette) Pallas of Seward, NE; granddaughters, Ashley (Chris) Peterson of Aurora, NE, Cassandra (Travis) Reinke of Lincoln, NE; great grandchildren, Bryce, Caden and Alaina; son, Ronald’s special friend, Paula Wincek of Parker, CO; her children, Kendra (Blake) Miles of Parker, CO and their children, Hunter and Evelyn and Kyler Wincek of McKinney, TX; sisters, Carolyn (Dale) Hansen of Dakota Dunes, SD, Alice (Roger) Mohl of Bancroft, NE; many nieces and nephews.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; son, Ronald; sisters, Ruthaline Zobel and Nancy Dalcourt; niece, Leigh Zobel.
