Marcia K. Henderson

Marcia K. (Wurdeman) Henderson, 65, of Wakefield, NE died on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, NE. A memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, with a Rosary Service starting at 7:00 p.m. with a meal following.  The Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne.  Lunch will follow at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.  Burial will be at a later date in Leigh, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.   

Marcia was born on June 23, 1958, in Columbus, NE, the daughter of Arland and Marcella (Eisenmann) Wurdeman.  At an early age, Marcia and her family moved to Wakefield.  She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1976.  Marcia was united in marriage to Thomas Henderson on October 24, 1981, at Emerson, NE.  To this union four children were born,  Josh, Nathan, Matthew, and Emily.  For 26 years, Marcia provided daycare in her home, helping raise hundreds of kids.  She was a caring and giving person, helping anyone at need.  For the last twelve years, she was a manager at Wayne East Prime Stop in Wayne, NE.  Marcia enjoyed quilting, tending to her flowers, her garden and fish pond.  Most of all she loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. 

Marcia is survived by her husband Tom of Wakefield, NE; sons, Josh Henderson of Kansas City, MO, Nathan (Andrea) Henderson, of Wayne, NE, Matthew Henderson (Jessica Curi) of Sioux City, IA; daughter, Emily (Miles) Garrard of Columbus, NE; grandchildren, Cooper, Parker, Liam, Rhys, Finn, and Henry.  She is also survived by her sisters, Deb (Dave) Hoffman of Ashland, NE, Patty Wurdeman of Wakefield, NE, Joan (Kurt) Marotz of Stanton, NE; brothers, Mike (Theresa) Wurdeman of Wayne, NE, Kelvin (Joyce) Wurdeman of Wayne, Ne, Roger (Becky) Wurdeman of Winside, NE, Jeff Wurdeman of Wayne, NE; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wanda Wurdeman; and an infant brother and sister.
