Paul Isadore Osnower, 79, of Pender, NE, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. Paul was born October 4, 1937 to Lawrence Osnower and Sadie Cohen in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Westport High School in 1955. During high school he was active in football, DeMolay and sang in the a-cappella choir. He was a member of the Naval Reserves. Paul managed Safeway for many years and owned a 7/11 Convenience Store. He later moved to Nebraska to be near his family. Paul graduated from Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island, NE. He worked as a police officer in Pender and Emerson and finished his career as a Dakota County Deputy. He loved Elvis, singing and dancing as well as, watching westerns, old movie classics, and football. He is survived by his wife, Loma Osnower; daughters, Anna (Oscar) Osnower, Janet (Martin) Skrotzki; son, Edward (Anita) Osnower; sister, Marsha Langston; granddaughters, Jayme Kruse and her sons, Kolby, Oakley and Avery, Heidi (John) Blizzard and their son, Johann, Gretchen Skrotzki and Maddy, Leeann Osnower and her children, Jessie and Kesslon; and nieces and nephews, Jerri (Tom Perez) Wiles, Debbie (Gerry) Bennett, Connie (Craig) Gehring, Rob Langston, Lisa (Neal) Nakama, Amy Osnower, Gary (Christina) Osnower. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Sadie Osnower; and brother, Jerome Osnower.
