Phoebe L Stanga

Phoebe Lynn (Bonneau) Stanga, 46, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Visitation will be on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Harrisburg Funeral Home in Harrisburg, SD.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, NE; with Reverend Brion Tolzman officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.   Arrangements are under the direction of Harrisburg Funeral Home in Harrisburg and Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. 

Phoebe was born on January 18^th, 1974 in Oakland, NE. She attended Bancroft-Rosalie High School in Bancroft, NE and graduated as salutatorian in 1992. She went on to graduate from Nettleton College in Sioux Falls with a business degree. She worked at Dairy Queen in Sioux Falls as a manager while attending college. After college, she worked for Dunham Company for 18 years before moving to Billion Auto as a part of the accounting staff for the past 7 plus years.

She was married to Troy Stanga in April of 2000 and to this union, Hunter and Seth were born. They amicably separated and later divorced.

She loved spending time with family and friends, whether this be at county fairs, camping trips, soccer tournaments, or family vacations. She was always there to be the organizer of events and a sounding board for all her friends. She was an active member of the PTA for Harrisburg where the boys attend school.

She is preceded in death by her mother Carol (Slaughter) Bonneau.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Hunter and Seth Stanga, both of Harrisburg, SD, sisters Sheila (Lee) Clemon of Soldier, IA and Darla (Galen) McCrary of Clarinda, IA, brothers Curt (RuthAnn) Bonneau of Rosalie, NE, Kevin (Paula) Bonneau of Thurston, NE, Barry (Lauri) Bonneau of Bancroft, NE, and Trevor (Erin) Bonneau of Rosalie, NE, numerous nieces and nephews, boyfriend Josh Cunningham and his children of Harrisburg, SD, and her plethora of friends.
