Randall “Randy” Elmer Lueth, 59, of Emerson, NE died on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Heritage of Emerson Nursing Home in Emerson, NE. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE; Pastor Kathy Montira will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.; with Richard Bloomquist officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Emerson. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Emerson.
Randall was born on March 28, 1960 to Elmer H. and Laurene S. (Sebade) Lueth in Wakefield, NE. He was baptized on March 30, 1960 at the Wakefield Community Hospital and later confirmed on May 23, 1967 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. Randy received his education from Emerson-Hubbard High School. He was an avid pool player and attended the Special Olympics competing in basketball, track and bowling. Randy loved to socialize whether he was going on Tuesday night outings in South Sioux City or going up town on the weekends in Emerson. Randy was a dedicated worker at may jobs around the area, he was especially proud of his time working with the kitchen staff at the Argosy Casino in Sioux City. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. Randy will always be remembered for having a heart of gold, he was always caring for other people and trying to make them happy.
Randy is survived by his sisters, Judy Anderson of Council Bluffs, IA, Bonnie Rosenberger of Lincoln, NE, Shirley Lueth of Omaha, NE, Sharon Lueth of Omaha, NE, Jannie (Lewis O.) Gutzmann of Emerson, NE, Josie (Roger) Gutzmann of Emerson, NE, Jaci (Pat) Beacom of Emerson, NE, Lauri Lueth of Bonita Springs, FL. He is also survived by a large extended family and a loving community.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathy Lueth; nephew, Jeff Beacom; brother-in-law, Jerry Anderson; his two best friends, Allen Miller and Randy Lane.
