Richard "Rick" Denker

Richard “Rick” Denker, “Dinker”, 62 of Waterbury, Ne died on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at a Sioux City Hospital. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Emerson. Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Emerson is assisting with the arrangements. Rick was born on December 23, 1958, the son of Leonard “Ted” and Twila (Sherer) Denker in Pender, NE. Following his graduation from Emerson – Hubbard High School, Rick went on to work at Sioux Bee Honey for several years, followed by Bomgaars and most recently Gerkin Windows in South Sioux City, NE. He had a love for Nebraska Football and spending time with his grandkids. Rick is survived by his children; Tristan Denker, Shalane Denker, and Mandi (JR) Stingley all of South Sioux City, NE; stepdaughter, Brenda (Don) Graves of Waterbury, NE, and their children, Aceson, Ethin, and Aybree. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Jim) Rychly of Little Rock, AR, Judy (Gene) Voss of New Hampton, IA, Barb (Terry) VonSeggern of Emerson, NE, Jackie Steele of Thurston, NE and Kay Denker of Emerson, NE; brother, Roger Denker of Heyburn, ID; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers.
