Sander Granados, 24, of Wakefield, NE was involved in an automobile accident on October 26, 2022. Sander passed away due to the injuries sustained from the accident. The visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. St. Michaels’s Catholic Church in South Sioux City. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in South Sioux City. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.
Sander was born on October 23, 1998, in Guatemala City, Guatemala to Israel Granados and Arcely Herrera. Sander grew up in Guatemala and moved to Los Angeles in 2011. In August of 2012 Sander’s family moved to Wakefield, NE where he attended Wakefield Community School and graduated in 2017. Sander attended WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming where he furthered his education in diesel mechanics and worked on semis. Sander worked hard to become a United States citizen and received his citizenship in 2022.
Sander enjoyed fishing, camping with his family and girlfriend, listening to music, and traveling the United States and Guatemala. He was always happy and willing to help everyone with a smile and dedication. Sander owned his own sense of style. His clothes always matched and had a matching hat and shoes to go with every matching outfit. He loved spending time with his family and his girlfriend Kaya’s family which quickly became his own. Sander was someone who always had a joke for every situation. He loved collecting hot wheels and preserving his childhood toys.
Sander is survived by his mother Arcely, father Israel, sister Jennifer, brother-in-law Emilio, girlfriend Kaya, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sander is also survived by his girlfriend Kaya’s parents Tiffany and Alan, her siblings, and her grandparents.
