Tracy L. Parker-Diaz, 51, of Emerson, NE, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, NE. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church; Pastor James Holthus will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Emerson.
Tracy was born on November 30, 1973, in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Lloyd and Kit (Perkins) Parker. Following her graduation from Emerson-Hubbard High School in 1992, she attended Bahner College of Cosmetology in Fremont, NE. For many years she worked at a Salon in South Sioux City. She was united in marriage to Lazaro Diaz in Sioux City, IA on May 3, 1996. To this union four children were born; Alejandro, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Isabella. She enjoyed watching her children grow up, attending all of their school activities. Working at the salon wasn’t just a job to Tracy. She truly enjoyed what she did. The most important thing to Tracy was her family, especially her grandson Jayden.
Tracy is survived by her husband Lazaro Diaz of Emerson, NE; sons, Alejandro Parker-Diaz (fiancé, Brittany Hildebrand) of Wakefield, Gabriel (Darianne) Parker-Diaz of Emerson, Nathaniel Parker-Diaz of Emerson; daughter, Isabella Parker-Diaz of Emerson; parents, Lloyd and Kit Parker of Lugoff, SC; sister, Katie (Jorge) De La Torre of Sioux City, IA; brother, Beau (Jennifer) Parker of Elgin, SC; grandson, Jayden Diaz-Wilch; and several nieces and nephews.
Tracy was preceded in death by her sister, Lacie Parker; paternal grandparents, Charles and Rose Parker; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Louise Perkins.
