Yvonne "Babe" G Fendrick

Yvonne “Babe” G. Fendrick, 76, of Thurston, NE died on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at an Omaha, NE hospital.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE.  The visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson.  Burial will be in Omaha Valley Cemetery near Homer, NE.  Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Babe was born on June 23, 1944 in Homer, NE the daughter of Joseph and Lotus (Tunacliff) Cain.  She attended country school and graduated from Winnebago High School in 1962.  On November 5, 1988, she was united in marriage to Rick Fendrick.  For many years she owned Babes Bar in Thurston, NE.  She enjoyed fishing, baking, raising her goats, and collecting cookie jars, angels and elephants.

Babe is survived by her husband Rick of Thurston, NE; sons, Gary (Amie) Kent of Hubbard, NE, Ron Kent of Klemme, IA, Leon (Angela)  Kent of Homer, NE, RJ (Sara) Fendrick of Lincoln, NE; daughters, Theresia Kent of Augusta, GA, Debra (Preston) Parker of Sioux City, IA; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren plus one on the way; sisters, Judy Sheley of Hubbard, NE, Conie Brown of Klemme, IA; brothers, Lloyd “Bud” (Josephine) Cain of Dakota Dunes, SD, Dallas “Bunk” (Eva) Cain of Homer, NE, Lyle “Pee Wee” (Karen) Cain of Homer, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Kent; brothers, Ed Cain, Norm Cain, Fran Cain; sister, Carol Barsby.
